Questions

How much do classes cost?

As of September 2008 classes cost £11, and the 2 hour Intermediate and Advanced Technique/Choreography classes cost £12. Unfortunately we cannot offer concessions because the school is privately run. All classes have live guitar accompaniment.

What level should I attend?

Please see descriptions for the various classes. If in doubt, call the School to discuss any previous experience and we will try and place you in the most appropriate class.

What should I wear?

Beginners should wear comfortable clothes, preferably a flared skirt (women) or comfortable trousers (men) and a court shoe or shoe with a boot heel. Elementary students and above (women) should wear flamenco shoes and skirts, and men should wear flamenco boots and comfortable trousers.

Can I just turn up on the day?

Yes - no formal registration is required, and the classes are on a pay-as-you go basis. Make sure to sign up for our mailing list to be up to date on the latest news and events.

How long will it take me to reach advanced level?

This depends on talent and how hard you work both in the classes and the intensive Christmas, Easter and Summer courses. Students in the advanced level have been dancing for at least four years.

Quote from a student

"I loved the opportunity to perform at the Escuela de Baile's show last summer at the Peacock Theatre together with my friends. It gave me such a kick, I was buzzing for weeks afterwards!"

"After a hard day's work, there's nothing like a good stamp!"
