Welcome to La Escuela de Baile, the largest flamenco school in the UK. We are based in Central London.
Whether you are a keen flamenco dancer, an absolute beginner
or just fancy some exercise, we have classes
that cater for all levels. There are classes during the day
in addition to the main evening sessions.
There is a thriving Children's Dance
and Drama School which takes place on Saturdays. Students
are given regular opportunities to perform
and intensive courses are offered
which receive students from all over the UK. The summer
school takes place in an affiliated dance school in Jerez,
Spain.
Our Questions page may answer some

Whatever your level and interest, we look forward to welcoming

"It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that starting flamenco classes at the Escuela changed my life. At the most basic level, my fitness improved and I made so many new friends. But more importantly, flamenco has given me an outlet to express myself. When I'm tired, it energises me. When I'm down it cheers me up. When I'm happy it helps me vent my excitement. Dancing to live guitar and singing is a real thrill, and I can't imagine my life without flamenco any more."
Escuela de Baile is presenting Flamenco Spectacular 2009. This is our school show, which takes place every few years. Students from the school perform, in specially-made costumes, together with professional guest artists, and musicians. A broad range of dances from the Flamenco repertoire are performed, providing a visual spectacle. The choreographies are different on each night.
We are proud to announce that our main guest artist is Juan Ogalla. He is one of the top dancers in Spain, and has been the primary dancer and partner of Christina Hoyos company for many years, including dancing at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona. He has worked with great Artists such as Angelita Gomez, Manuel Morao, Beatriz Martin and many more. He has travelled all over the world as solo and guest artist and now has his own company Soniquete Flamenco.
The performances will take place in the Peacock Theatre, Sadlers Wells on the 18th and 19th of July 2009. Tickets are available from the Sadlers Wells website.
